An Inter-House Newspaper Costume Design Competition titled “Sustainable Me” was successfully organized on 24 December 2025 at Kaalanjali by the energetic participants from SOPAAN. The event aimed to foster creativity using newspaper and spreading awareness about sustainability and environmental responsibility. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of the four houses.
All the participants displayed remarkable imagination and artistic skills by transforming simple newspapers into attractive and meaningful costumes. Students presented a wide range of creative themes such as Nature's gift, Flower Paradise, Butterfly Bliss, Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, Mother Earth , 2025 and other eco-inspired concepts, beautifully conveying the message of harmony with nature and sustainable living. The confidence and presentation skills of the participants added charm to the event. It provided a platform for the students to express their imagination while encouraging the concept of sustainable living.
The competition was judged by Ms. Leena Rai Shinghani and Ms. Vinita Idnani, who appreciated the originality, craftsmanship, and environmental message reflected in each costume. Their valuable insights and encouragement motivated the participants.
The event proved to be an enriching experience for all, reinforcing the idea that creativity and sustainability can go hand in hand. Overall, the competition was a great success and left a lasting impression on students, inspiring them to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
