Experiential Learning on Elections & Democracy - Prangan

Doing away with rote learning, the teachers of Prangan are employing new-age techniques to ensure lasting understanding of relevant topics amongst students. It was an interesting week at Prangan as the students of Grade IV got themselves involved in the entire election process by filing nominations, campaigning and contesting class elections. Students were seen acting as young leaders and soliciting support from their peers at the dining hall and other places in their blocks. This election campaign that started in Prangan from the second week of December has instilled essential learning about leadership qualities and importance of elections. The students have started experiencing a real-time understanding of the Election Procedure which coagulates their knowledge of the chapter on Elections in SST.
