The student delegates were excited to attend the RS Conference at Daly college with the theme Democracy . These young adults aged between 12 to 14 years were aware that honing leadership skills and understanding democracy in its true essence is important in today’s time.
All activities and events were planned for four days from 23rd February to 27th February 2023. The excitement was evident from the moment they alighted in Indore and were welcomed by the host school. The opening ceremony began with a motivating speech by Air Chief Marshal Mr Birender Singh Dhanoa who encouraged the students to follow their dreams and live a well meaning life. The day was filled with activities and new learnings! They learned Gond Art, Mandala Art , Tie and Dye and enjoyed the day . The fervor was high when the day ended with a fair where the delegates enjoyed interacting with students from around the globe and understood the true intercultural spirit.
Following day was adventurous and full of insight with a visit to the historical place Mandu and ended with a baraza session in Jahaz Mahal. The dawn of a new day was marked with adventure activities and the key Note from the speaker , Master Avi Sharma; A 13-year-old boy, Avi Sharma , who has recently won the Prime Minister’s Rashtriya Bal Puraskar or National Child Award. The young boy is also a motivational speaker as well as a writer. It was interesting how he connected the importance of Ramayan and Mahabharat in student’s life.
The delegates made many new friendships, immersed in many meaningful discussions and in a short span understood many aspects beyond books and classroom teaching.
