Teacher's Day Celebration

‘A teacher plants the seeds of knowledge, sprinkles them with love and patiently nurtures their growth to produce tomorrow’s dreams’.

Teachers’ day is celebrated on 5th September to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Teachers nourish and prepare students for their future as they are the real icons of knowledge and wisdom. They build the foundation for the moral values and nurture the children with their love and care. They are the source of light in the world and true pillars of success. It is a great occasion for celebrating and enjoying their relationship with the students. Celebrating Teachers’ day is one of the finest memories of school days.

Teachers’ day celebration commenced in Prangan by traditionally welcoming the teachers by showering of petals. To acknowledge the efforts and accomplishments of their teachers all were awarded with a badge of honour by the adorable students. A pious environment was created when the teachers were greeted by chanting the holy ancient shlok ‘Gurur brahma gurur Vishnu, guru devo Maheshwara’  a prayer to the teachers or Gurus who mould a child’s personality and thereby provide a better future, one who guides  the students  at their every step of learning, motivate and inspire them to become a better human being. Teachers act as the beacons to one’s life. The students also sang songs and gave instrumental presentations to welcome their role models. Each section had prepared performances for their respective teachers. To make the occasion delightful,  two parents were also invited from each section who conducted an enriching and enjoyable session for students.  It was an eventful day enjoyed by all teachers and students. A memorable event etched forever as a beautiful memory in the minds and hearts of one and all present.
