Creative Writing Competition

“It is only by writing, not dreaming about it, that we develop our own style.” — P.D. James

The most obvious characteristic of powerful writing is that it reveals something to the readers. They learn something new about the world they live in. And that feeling is the feeling of being moved by the novelty and the magnitude of the knowledge they acquire from the writer's words.

The tiny palms with great minds, the Penmaniacs of Prangan, came into action on 2nd September, Friday , to express their sentiments and spirits through a Creative Writing Competition. Grades II -IV were delegated with the topic ‘Why God made teachers?’ and for Grade V ‘ What is teachers life outside school?’. The journey from happy writers to the expressionist was delightful and enjoyable.

The ‘Happy Writers’ used their imagination and creativity to express ideas and thoughts in a way which was personal to them. Quite simply, it’s was about adding their own ‘flair’ to writing.

The competition began with the showcase of a small PowerPoint Presentation containing the briefing about the approach for Creative Writing to give spark to their minds and roll the ball. This gave them the confidence to put their best foot forward and made it easy pesy for them. With this push to their imagination , the competition began with great enthusiasm.

“Start writing, no matter what. The water does not flow until the faucet is turned on.” — Louis L’Amour
