French Day Celebration

Bonjour India,

On 15th  July 2022, the students of Grade IV and V witnessed the most exciting cohesion of cultures when they celebrated the Bastille Day at school- an event that marked the amalgamation of French and Indian cultures. Bastille day is also known as the “Fete Nationale” or National Festival of France. This day marked the fall of Bastille, a military fortress and the commemoration of the French revolution, after which France adopted its motto-

Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité

Organized by the Department of French, National Day of France was celebrated through the making of colorful Eiffel Towers using straws by students of Grade IV and beautiful mosaic art of Notre Dame by students of Grade V.

Just like every other activity undertaken in Prangan seeks to inculcate a virtue, the celebration of the French day not just aimed at imbibing acceptance and tolerance of a foreign culture but also expression of love and respect towards the French language that is being taught across Grade III, IV and V in Prangan.
