Science is organized knowledge.
Issac Newton aptly stated, “ What we know is a drop, what we don’t know is an ocean.” Living up to the spirits of this thought, Junior Scientist club conducted an activity of finding the quality of soap based on its TFM percentage. TFM is an important characteristic which refers to The Total Fatty Matter present. The students enthusiastically participated in the activity and tested samples of different soaps.
On completion, it was concluded that “Higher the TFM value, safer the soap is for the skin.” The minimum TFM value for a soap to be grade 1 is 76%. The soaps with this TFM value are higher in quality and have better cleansing action.
