Welcome Day of Grade IV and V

Campus Abuzz Amidst Caution!

Learning becomes fun when it goes beyond the textbooks! On 21st October, after a long wait I, ‘Prangan’ stood in readiness to welcome the students. I. ‘Prangan- the garden of learning’ came back to life as the happy students returned to enthuse vibrancy and positivity into my dull corridors. I was all decked up with colorful classrooms hosted by Block Head along with all the to welcome my adorable brave hearts my students.

The day started with a solemn prayer from the school journal. The students were made aware of the class rules which were based on the theme- “Physically Apart, Socially Together.” From seating arrangements to walking in the corridor or moving towards the dining, students were well acquainted with Covid protocols. With all safety measures and precautions in place students and teachers were exhilarated to meet each other without any virtual medium.

To celebrate the resumption of classes for our little brave hearts, teachers planned fun activities to trigger their excitement across all subjects. Students drew emojis in their drawing books to express their excitement and happiness. In Math, they challenged themselves with interesting puzzles. The English teachers welcomed their students with a self-composed poem, ‘Happy School Days Are Here Again’. Students happily recited the poem and added few lines of their own to echo similar sentiments. In Social Studies students imagined having dual passport and were asked to share which neighboring country’s citizenship would they like and the reason thereof. Majority replies were for Maldives and Bhutan. The Science teachers recapitulated the Covid Safety Rules by asking the students to make a colorful poster, ‘My Rules My Safety!’ Students also wrote few lines on safety rules. In Hindi, students were given story prompts to weave their own stories.

Our students proved that each one of us have creativity within us, it needs right kind of efforts to pierce the mundane and bring out the marvelous! The activities planned for the first day of resumption of school brought out the marvelous for all of us!

The corridors once again resounded with happiness and assured everyone that Happy School Days are Back Again!
