Freedom is the open window through which pours the sunlight of the human spirit and human dignity- Herbert Hoover

May we think of freedom not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right. The students of Prangan celebrated the 75th National Day of Independence on 13th August, Friday, with great zeal and enthusiasm. They took immense interest in learning the unique and outstanding facts about India as they felt proud of their country. Students robed up in the colours of Tiranga and tapped their feet on patriotic songs. They displayed an overwhelming response by answering the questions in quiz and left all in awe with their deep knowledge about their very own Nation. Five students from each section represented the different States- North, South, East, West and Central and were successful in making the audience believe that despite of tremendous cultural diversity our country binds us all together in one common thread. The performances were chockfull with patriotic flavour and students saluted the Independence Movement through their songs, dances, enactments, art and craft work. The spirit of patriotism was there in every heart. As someone has rightly said, "Patriotism consists not in waving the flag, but in striving that our country shall be righteous as well as strong.”
