Founders Day - 2020

A celebration, a commemoration, a gala, a fest……Sanskaarotsav or The Founders Day celebration of The Sanskaar Valley School is all that and more! It is the coming together of the student and teacher community to celebrate the essence of the school.  It is the graceful dances, the melodious music, the absorbing dramas, stories told and untold, a spectacular array of creativity and innovation and the smiling and proud faces of the achievers.  It is all that our school stands for!

This year we celebrated our 14th Founders Day not only virtually but differently as well with a weeklong celebration!  We commenced with the Founders Award Ceremony on the 5th of December where students were recognized for the efforts and achievements in academics, sports and Co- curricular activities. School colours for sports, music, dance, drama, ICT, Public speaking, MUN, Community service as well as Environmental awareness were awarded on the basis of achievements through the year. The most deserving students of the Boarding houses were also recognized for their overall achievements and good conduct. The General Proficiency award was given out to 2 students from each grade for academics along with an exemplary representation in sports, cultural, literary and co-curricular activities and competitions at various events at defined levels.

The virtual ceremony had all the elements of the real one- the lighting of the lamp, the Ganesh Vandana, the School report by the Principal as well as   snippets of the cultural performances, exhibition displays and distinguished chief guests from inception till date to give the experience of founders albeit virtually!

The week from 6th to 11th December, was a glimpse into the cultural repertoire of the school. The play Parvaaz Ka Aaghaaz  on the life of Dr APJ Abdul Kalaam ,a play that was widely acclaimed and appreciated by Gulzaar sahib  was the perfect way to start the Founders Cultural presentations.  The English Play, The Sound of Music from 2009, the Hindi play Chanakya From 2016   that left an indelible mark with the performances, The dance drama Ma Tujhe Salaam from 2016, a tribute to our brave soldiers, Contemporary dances from 2015 and 2018 on the world of teenagers and accepting differences  were shown through the week and were much appreciated by the current students as well as the alumni.
