Trial Examination 2020 On Campus

The Sanskaar Valley School successfully conducted its first mock exam session of the Cambridge examinations. All the individual paper components as per the public examination pattern were scheduled from 28th November to 10th December 2020.

Initially, a consent form was sent to the parents, to confirm student willingness to appear in the physical exam and there was a 100% attendance observed for the A level students. The students were instructed to produce the indemnity form duly signed by parents, on a daily basis with the purpose of keeping the campus safe. Additionally, a special online orientation session was conducted for the parents and students to intimate them about the arrangements related to the exams. The exams were conducted in separate blocks, following strict protocols of safety and security to ensure complete hygiene, above and beyond the CAIE and government guidelines.

All norms of social distancing and masks were stringently followed, as the students’ temperature was recorded at the gates by thermos guns before being allowed direct entry to the exam venue. The early arrivers were hosted in different class rooms that were systematically and methodically sanitized the previous evening. The examination hall along with the seating furniture was also sanitized meticulously and with complete care. The invigilator distributed the question papers and answer sheets in advance before student entry to ensure minimal contact, while ensuring that there was another invigilator in the room to ensure exam protocol. Sharing of stationary amongst students was also barred for safety reasons, while wearing of masks and carrying their own sanitizer and water bottle were deemed compulsory.

After the evaluation of the examination scripts, a detailed student performance and feedback session will be conducted, with the aim of executing constructive changes that can contribute directly towards achieving higher student goals. Additionally the school also has created a plan to conduct doubt clearing classes and practical sessions on campus before the students go into self-study mode in their final leg of preparation.
