Sanskaaronomics

This contest was organised by Team-Economics, TSVS. It had two events-

1.The Sting of Satire- 

This event embodied the sweet sting of satire and gave students a platform to use humour, scathing assessments, analogy, irony etc. to produce a powerful poetry to highlight the economic flaws, hypocrisy, corruption, immorality, vices etc. to help provide a passage for the betterment of society.

2.Unique Insights - A panel discussion fostering virtual dialogue that provoked new ideas, different perspectives, and great insight. The participants were required to contribute their unique insights to the three bills on agriculture reforms – The Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020; The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, 2020. In the virtual talk show, each panellist provided an explanation of the topic or her/his argument concerning the topic, lasting for about two minutes. This was followed by  20 minutes of curated questions from the moderator.

Date of the virtual event was 24th October 2020.

Sir Awinash Pandey and Sir Manish Bharvesh were the competent judges for the event.

Satya-house was represented by Lavanya Shrivastava (XI-H) and Ananya Dixit (XII-H). Pragyan-house was represented by Dheeraj Tolani (XI-S) and Himani Goswami (IX-C). Udhyam-house was represented by Arin Tamrakar (XI-CA) and Tashi Modi (IX-B). Team-Pravir had Harjyot Kaur (XI-CB) and Kaushal Singh (XI-H) as its representatives.

Navya Krishak, a TSVS-alumna, was the skillful and impartial moderator. Anandita Saksena (XII-H) was an efficient rapporteur. The discussion was anchored by Ananya Tiwari (XII-CC) & Palak Gera (XII-CC).
