Unity in Diversity

“Our unity is our strength and diversity is our power.”

On 17th August, with another great event ’Unity in Diversity’   Prangan kept the fire of patriotism alive.  With a salute to the nation and feeling of pride for its rich culture and uniqueness, in all its vibrant forms, Class Teacher’s Time continued the celebration of India’s independence. The class began seeking God’s grace and important news shared by the students. Teachers also discussed a topic from their General knowledge books to share more about India and its uniqueness.

Aiming to rejuvenate the pride of such a momentous occasion, Class Teacher’s time had a platter of activities carefully planned under the theme of ‘Unity in Diversity.’ Every child was assigned a state among the 28 states and 8 union territories of India. They had to represent the state and share about it.  This activity was in three phases and in every phase 10 students got the opportunity to represent a state. The traditional clothing, language and culture of every state is unique in India.  Hence it was a task at hand for students, but they emerged with flying colours. Each child had beautifully dressed up in the ethnic wear of the state, they shared many interesting facts and some even had relishing cuisine and artwork of the state to display. The class ended with a mesmerising video depicting the incredible unity shared in India though so many diversities. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and a wish to make it a better place for everyone to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
