Story Telling Workshop

Story telling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world.

A story telling session was organised for Grade III students as part of their curriculum to help them understand the roots of our heritage better. The team of ‘Stories and Beyond’ lead by Yasmin Anwar enacted a story rooted from Madhya Pradesh, Pench Sanctuary. The story was about a lady Surajwanti who outwitted a ghost and how the ghost became her ‘Talking Horse’ forever. The children thoroughly enjoyed the session as they relaxed on their cushions and soft teddies, looking completely engrossed. The students loved the word hunt worksheet based on the story ‘The New Ghost’. The story telling ended with a vote of thanks given by Shauryaveer Singh Uppal of Grade III A that touched the hearts of the story telling team and they were overwhelmed by the response they received.

Anything can be made interesting when there is involvement and evolvement. Stories add flavour in a child’s life that not only can change the thought process, but mould and inspire their little hearts too.
