Eye Checkup at SVN

Eyes are the windows to the world we see. Whatever we see and perceive is through our eyes. So, therefore they need to remain healthy and clean. This is precisely the knowledge that our school’s social service club along with the dentists that had visited from other hospitals aimed at imparting to the little children at the Sanskaar Vidya Niketan. Keeping our eyes clean is one of the most important aspects of our body. When they are not taken care of, it affects our entire range of vision thus making us dependent on spectacles and surgeries.

The eye specialists briefed the children on various ways of keeping their eyes clean and healthy like washing their face and eyes should be the first thing they do when they wake up in the morning, and also before they sleep. The specialists also added the fact that the children should eat green vegetables and carrots to keep their eyes healthy. Further, they did a pro bono eye checkup for the children to ensure whether their eyes were healthy or not.

It was an informative day for the children as it taught them that for the functioning of the body it is not just the limbs that are important but also, the eyes that enable their bodies to walk, as without sight it would be very difficult to walk.
