TSVS Activity Department organized a Street Play Presentation on two very important topics- "Pollution" and "Greed of Becoming a World Power" in Shikhar Courtyard area on 26th of April 2023. The event was headed by the students of Grade IX & X.
The first performance was presented by Grade IX students focused on the theme"Pollution". The students portrayed various scenarios to illustrate how pollution affects the ecosystem and the inhabitants. "Sabse Aage Kaun" was the subject of the second performance, which was given by grade X pupils. They described a real-life historical incident in which China conducted The Great Sparrow Mission in 1958 out of a greed for global dominance and a desire for high yield, killing all the sparrows as a result of which insects destroyed all of their crops and brought China dangerously close to extinction. Then, in order to save themselves, China had to import 1 million sparrows from Germany, and the government had to issue an apology to the entire nation after realising that it had been a terrible mistake to interfere with Mother Nature's system.
The presentation had strong words, emotional expressions, and captivating music that successfully delivered the message of pollution's negative impacts. The audience was thoroughly impressed and applauded the performers' efforts and dedication. It was an excellent example of the power of the arts in addressing social and environmental issues.
