Every effort to protect our biodiversity for coming generations is important.
The systems that sustain all life on Earth, including humans, depend on biodiversity. We cannot have a diverse ecosystem without a variety of animals, plants, and microbes. The robust ecosystems on which we depend for the air we breathe and the food we consume.
From March 13 to March 17, several activities were held in Prangan to raise awareness among students.
Malvika Chaturvedi, a student in Grade 5A, discussed the importance of biodiversity and methods for conserving it through a video presentation. We shared it on the school's Instagram page. Our school supports the Sustainable Development objective of preserving the ecosystem and biodiversity, this was covered by Aashi Dubey of Grade 5A in her Public speaking.
Students’ original statements and catchphrases were posted on notice boards in
Prangan’s entrance and courtyard.
Students of Grades II to V, participated in the English Handwriting Competition held on the 16th of March 2023. The topic chosen was ‘The International Day of Action for
Rivers’ which was based on the theme of the month ‘Biodiversity and Conservation’.
Hindi handwriting competition was also held based on the topic ‘Conservation of flora
and fauna.
Biodiversity is the greatest treasure we have... Its diminishment is to be prevented at all cost.
