English Extempore Competition at Sopaan

Oratory is a masterful art... To inculcate and encourage good oratory skills among the children of Sopaan, an English Extempore competition was organized for the students of Grades VI-VIII on 24th July 2018. The competition was conducted in three stages, wherein the students were selected from four houses. The third and final stage of the competition was organized during the competition time. The teams were divided on the basis of the house representation, where the selected children from each class represented their classes. The central idea of the competition was “Climate Change and its effects”. Each child had five minutes to prepare and one minute fifty seconds to speak on the given topic. In such a short period, students constructed their thoughts, articulated and presented their views with finesse. Riddhima Gohiya, Ananya Singh, and Shriya Agarwal were adjudged the winners in the end.
