Boarding School Routine

A boarder starts his day at 6.15 am with an early morning snack consisting of hot milk and biscuits. He proceeds for half an hour of physical education and then returns to the boarding house for a wash and a morning session of private study. He then starts his day in school at 8.15 am, after which the day and boarding school then go through their day till 3.20 pm together. At this time, the students attend all their classes as well as their co curricular activities. They also eat breakfast at 9.35 am and lunch at 1.40 pm.

After 3.20 pm, the boarding school student proceeds for evening refreshments and then has an hour and a quarter of specialized training in one or two of the myriad activities available in school. Every student is expected to make two choices each year towards the kind of activity he or she would like to participate in. Fresh choices can be made every year. School teams use this time for training sessions. In short, students have use of the number of sporting and other co curricular facilities available in school. Instructors and coaches are available during this time. The students then have time to use the Tuck Shop and /or use the common room and generally relax for a while before they go in for their baths. Two sessions of prep and dinner time make up the rest of the day. A prep session is available for Tutors and Housemasters to interact with their wards as and when necessary. Lights Out is observed at 9.30 pm., at which time all the students have to be in bed.

The entire day has been thoughtfully structured to ensure adequate study time, play time as well as meal time. Throughout their stay, the students are under the benevolent supervision of their teachers.
